The VR-4 Galants were entered into world rally and were definitely ahead of their time. The evolution (Kouki) VR-4, or 2nd facelift of the sixth generation Galant, benefited from some performance upgrades over the previous edition. Upgrades such as the larger 16G turbo, larger intercooler piping, larger 510cc injectors, and a factory-tuned ECU. Mitsubishi also added some visual cues as well with the dual vents on the hood, an additional lower bumper grille opening and a larger rear wing. Sometimes referred to as the Evo 0 these cars had the engine and drivetrain of the Lancer Evo before the Lancer Evo! This VR-4 Evo is of course all-wheel drive but it's also all-wheel steering as well! This is a very cool car and very rare as well with just over 5000 ever being produced, the value is only going up from here.
